Ana Julieta releases debut single “Madrid Me Salva” [Listen]

With a cosmopolitan air, Paris-born DJ and producer Ana Julieta has been making her mark on the electronic scene with authenticity, creativity and energetic sets that don't let anyone stand still on the dance floor

The artist has in her DNA a mix that carries the roots of Spain, France and Brazil and has been employing a multicultural lesson in her sound that has won her an admirable following.

From north to south, east to west, Ana Julieta grew up in the beloved land of all saints, Salvador, Bahia and has already shared the stage with renowned artists from Brazil and with her move to Madrid, her career took a leap forward, what was good became even better and a fine example of this is the release of the single "Madrid Me Salva" by ONErpm, also available for free download on SoundCloud.

The city that the artist now calls home to the artist receives a tribute in a track composed, produced and sung by Ana Julieta. A soulful artist isn't born overnight and at this point, the producer knew how to extract her viscerality, purity, shadow and light to connect with the public. Love is also chaos in Ana's vision and it pulses through her veins every time she connects with her listeners. The name of the track has a cultural meaning that permeates the history of Madrid elucidated by the artist:

"There is a popular saying in Madrid that goes 'Madrid Me Mata' which comes from the name of a magazine from the time of the 'Movida Madrileña' which was a counterculture movement in the 80s where Madrid flourished artistically in all its fields. The term Madrid me Mata is an allusion to the years of life we lose when we move to a big city like Madrid, but obviously it has various interpretations depending on the Madrid you're living in."

Madrid is colorful and has a vibrant nightlife and Ana Julieta has translated this experience into a well-orchestrated mix on 'Madrid Me Salva', being surgical in the timing, energy and delivery of her work. In addition to the quality of the production, the artist employs a word play that keeps your ears riveted to the story in which she mixes the Spanish and English languages. Upbeat, Funk, Trap and a pinch of Ana Julieta, it's worth checking out below!
