Amsterdam Dance Event Launches Today with Exciting Program Highlights

Today marks the official start of ADE Week as the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) kicks off its highly anticipated festival and conference. With an extraordinary lineup of talent, insights, and cultural experiences, ADE 2024 promises to be the most wide-ranging and immersive edition to date. Here’s a look at what attendees can expect over the next five days:

 

Conference Lineup with Over 500 Speakers

The conference program has been finalized, showcasing an eclectic mix of industry leaders, innovators, and artists. Among the latest confirmations are KI/KI, Duncan Stutterheim, and The Blessed Madonna, alongside earlier additions such as Amelie Lens x Charlotte de Witte, Marlon Hoffstadt, Reinier Zonneveld, and Tomorrowland co-founder Michiel Beers. With over 500 speakers lined up, ADE 2024 offers unparalleled insights into the electronic music industry for all ADE Pro members.

 

ADE Lab: Pioneering Development and Collaboration

ADE Lab, a dedicated space for aspiring DJs, producers, and industry professionals, features a variety of engaging sessions. Highlights include RA Exchange Live with Patrick Mason, a vinyl showcase hosted by Chuckie, and a career-building masterclass led by Lilly Palmer. Other sessions focus on creating live shows with BIIANCO and demo drops with industry icons like Dave Clarke's Demolition XXVII. Designed for the next generation of electronic music talent, ADE Lab provides invaluable hands-on experiences and networking opportunities for those looking to break into the industry.

 

Five Official ADE Opening Concerts

ADE 2024 opens with five remarkable Opening Concerts as part of its Arts & Culture offering, showcasing exceptional collaborations across different artistic fields. These concerts will take place simultaneously in unique locations, including museums and churches, highlighting the connection between music and art. Performers include Eefje de Visser at the Van Gogh Museum, Nick Verstand & Cello Octet Amsterdam at Door Open Space, and Greetje Bijma & Oceanic at BIMHUIS. Additionally, Metropole Orkest & Miguel Atwood-Ferguson will pay tribute to J Dilla at Melkweg, while 24classics presents a rendition of Philip Glass by Lavinia Meijer & Nikki Hock.

 

ADE Festival

Retaining its title as the world’s biggest Electronic Music Festival, ADE will feature over 1,000 events across more than 200 venues with over 3,000 artists set to perform during this year’s edition.

 

ADE Beats

ADE Beats returns and expands its scope! Set to unfold at Felix Meritis on ADE Saturday, this international sub-conference for hip-hop, bass, and beats will feature insights from leading artist managers, a keynote address from the president of powerhouse label EMPIRE, and discussions with key figures from the grime and dancehall scenes. This year's program encourages firsthand engagement with industry professionals.

 

ADE Green

The global music industry has the potential to influence more than just entertainment. With the increasing impacts of the climate crisis, ADE Green explores how the industry can play a bigger role in integrating climate justice into its values and actions, examining perspectives from artists and festival organizers.

 

ADE Startups

Running alongside the ADE Pro conference, ADE Startups focuses on fostering a platform for the next generation of entrepreneurs in music, tech, and innovation. This initiative brings together members of the music, tech, and start-up ecosystem to discuss building the future.
